iPads , by Mrs Kellett
Date: 4th Jun 2015 @ 9:36pm
I had the pleasure this morning of dropping in to some lessons to see what great work was going on in the classrooms. I saw lots of great maths work and some good discussions about improving our writing. I went into y5 and they had our new bank of iPads out. They were learning to write algorithms (commands) to move figures in a game. I was so impressed with the children's ability and the confidence with using the new technology to further their learning.
Well done Mrs Atherton and Y5

Playtime, by Mrs Kellett
Date: 19th May 2015 @ 10:08pm
I went out today and spent some time on the playground with our KS2 children. I visited the tuck shop and bought a tasty Mango Whirl. Don't forget the healthy tuck shop is open daily.
I had a lovely conversation with Scott from Y3 about how much he was enjoying being in y3. I also asked the children what other equipment they would like on the playground. Watch this space for continued playground improvements.
Proud Headteacher , by Mrs Kellett
Date: 18th May 2015 @ 10:52pm
Luckily, I have had lots of opportunities to feel proud of the children in our school and today I was overwhelmed with pride of the achievements of two of our children.
Joe in Y6 travelled to Skegness over the weekend to play in a Rugby tournament. They played five games and finished first. Joe was the captain of the team which beat Milford Rugby Club in the final - a team that were unbeaten. Well done to Joe and all his team mates. One to watch in the future if you are a Saints fan!
Charlotte in year one came to see me today and I commented on her beautiful new haircut, however she then went on to tell me that she had actually asked her mum if she could have her hair cut because she wanted to give it to 'The Little Princess Trust'. This Trust is a charity that provides children with wigs because they have lost their own hair because of Cancer treatment. Each wig that is donated to a child costs the charity £350. Charlotte has had her hair cut and has also been raising money - so far £368! What a fantastic achievement.
On 15th May, Charlotte went to the hairdressers and had a massive 9 inches cut from her hair.
What a selfless, humbling and generous thing to do for children who are suffering. I am so proud of you Charlotte

Date: 12th May 2015 @ 3:59pm
We have been enjoying class worship this week and sharing stories from the Bible with our friends. Lots of us chose 'Noah's Ark' as our favourite story, so one of our class members read the story to us whilst be followed along with our own Bible.
